Rodney Pol Jr. Senate District 4

Rodney Pol Jr. serves Senate District 4 in the Indiana General Assembly. Through his work on key committees—including pensions and labor, local government, environment, public policy, and criminal law—he advocates for the interests of working families across Porter and LaPorte counties on major state issues.

Backed by local educators, labor organizations, and respected leaders such as Karen Tallian, whom he succeeded, Rodney is seeking another term in the Indiana Senate to continue progress and help create a stronger future for the communities he represents.

Randy Novak House District 9

Randy Novak is a Democratic member of the Indiana House of Representatives, serving District 9. He took office on October 22, 2025, after being unanimously selected by his party’s caucus to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Patricia Boy. His current term extends through November 2026.

Novak brings decades of public service in La Porte County, including a 33-year career with the Michigan City Fire Department, where he rose to the position of Fire Chief. He also spent more than ten years on the La Porte County Council—serving as its president—focusing on responsible budgeting and economic growth. In addition, he has worked as a licensed real estate broker since 1998, providing him with experience in finance and contract negotiations.

Randy Novak

Charles Moseley House District 10

Chuck Moseley is deeply committed to the people he serves. As the representative for Indiana’s 10th District in the House of Representatives, he works to ensure their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed. He serves on the Pension Management Oversight Committee, which oversees state employee pensions, as well as the Employment, Labor and Pensions Committee and the Veterans Affairs and Public Safety Committee.

State Rep. Moseley is widely regarded as a strong advocate for working Hoosiers and veterans. He has supported efforts to assist injured workers, protect and enhance benefits for retired public employees, help veterans secure meaningful employment, and improve access to timely, high-quality health care services for service members.

Dedicated to service in every aspect of his life, Chuck is also a veteran of the Army National Guard. His experience in uniform has shaped his commitment to standing up for others, especially those who cannot advocate for themselves. He has been married to his wife, Monica, for more than 50 years, and together they have two children and five grandchildren, whom they cherish.

Ryan Kominakis House District 4 Challenger to Ed Soliday

Ryan Kominakis is committed to serving the people of Indiana’s 4th District with integrity, accountability, and a strong working-class perspective. A lifelong Northwest Indiana resident, he has built his life around service—as a Marine veteran, steelworker, and union leader.

After graduating high school, Ryan enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, completing four deployments, including service in Afghanistan. His time in the military instilled in him a deep sense of discipline, responsibility, and a commitment to standing up for others.

Following his service, Ryan returned home to work at U.S. Steel, where he has spent more than a decade as a crane operator, crew leader, and union representative. In that role, he has advocated for worker safety, fair wages, and the rights of working families across Northwest Indiana.

Ryan is focused on strengthening local communities by supporting good-paying jobs, lowering costs for families, and ensuring government works for the people it represents. His leadership is rooted in service, hard work, and a commitment to building a stronger future for District 4.

Nick Neal House District 19 Challenger to Julie Olthoff

Nick Neal is a lifelong Northwest Indiana resident and a dedicated advocate for the people of Indiana’s 19th District. Raised in Gary, he has spent nearly two decades working with families across the Region, building a career focused on strengthening communities and expanding opportunity.

With a background in criminal justice and public administration, Nick has served as both a police officer and a nonprofit leader. His work has focused on supporting families, preventing child abuse, reducing truancy, and improving public safety through community-based solutions.

Nick is committed to supporting working families by strengthening public education, expanding access to affordable childcare, and creating fair economic opportunities. His leadership is rooted in collaboration, service, and a strong commitment to building a better future for Northwest Indiana.

Jeremy Rivas

Jeremy Rivas serves as the 2nd District representative on the County Council. A resident of Portage, he was first elected to the position in 2010.

In addition to his role on the council, Rivas works as a field representative for Bricklayers Local 4. He remains focused on building upon the progress the county has made during his time in office and continuing to support its growth and development.

Greg Simms has served on the County Council since 2018, representing the 3rd District. He retired from Washington Township High School in the fall of 2023 after many years teaching U.S. History and Government.

In addition to his public service and career in education, Simms hosts a radio program on WVLP 103.1 FM in Valparaiso.

Kevin Breitzke, the Porter County Surveyor, is a dedicated leader in regional and county planning, stormwater management, and environmental policy. His work has contributed to economic growth, environmental stewardship, and improved quality of life for communities across Indiana.

A lifelong resident of Porter County, Breitzke remains committed to strengthening and enhancing the place he calls home.

Kevin Breitzke

Gary S. Germann

Gary S. Germann serves as the Porter County Prosecuting Attorney in Indiana. First elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2022, his current term runs through December 31, 2026. He previously held the same position from 1978 to 1982.

Between his terms in office, Germann spent 36 years in private legal practice in Portage and served as a county public defender for more than two decades. Today, he leads an office of attorneys and victim advocates, overseeing major felony prosecutions as well as child support cases.
